Good to know

  • Bring along : clothing suitable for the weather conditions , spare clothing if necessary , a pair of gloves
  • The participants will receive safety goggles before the ride begins : wearing contact lenses or glasses will be at own risk.

Regulations

  1. Every driver of a buggy rented from Stafort bvba must be at least 18 years old. Before the beginning of the ride (organised and supervised by Stafort bvba) one has to present his/her identity card and a valid driver's license to the representative of Stafort bvba.
  2. Every driver has to sign the rental agreement, along with the written words “read and approved” and has to date the agreement.
  3. Participating in the Stafort bvba organised courses is always at own risk. Stafort bvba cannot be held accountable for any nature of damage, whether physical or material.
  4. Damage to the buggy, caused by the driver or passenger, will be recovered by the driver.
  5. Every driver of a buggy, rented from Stafort bvba, has to abide by the rules of the road at all times. Any violations of the rules will be at own risk. Stafort bvba cannot be held accountable.
  6. Buggies will only be rented for supervised tourist trips. Under no circumstances is it allowed to deviate from plotted route. If someone does not comply to this rule the supervisor has the right to immediately pull the buggy over and end the ride. There is a payment of monetary damages of 500 euros for every infraction.
  7. It is not allowed to overtake the supervisor or a preceding buggy.
  8. Under no circumstances is a driver allowed to hinder another buggy.
  9. Keep a safe distance between you and the preceding buggy.
  10. Racing is forbidden.
  11. When suspicious of intoxication by alcohol or other drugs the Stafort bvba representative has the right to deny participation of the ride.
  12. It is forbidden to smoke, drink or eat during the ride.
  13. The driver of a buggy has to follow the safety regulations as well as being attentive to the passenger's compliance to the safety regulations. The passenger is however responsible for his/her safety, as long as this person is 16 years or older. If the passenger is younger than 16 years the driver is responsible for their safety.
  14. Drivers and passengers must keep their limbs inside the roll cage at all times.
  15. The wearing of safety goggles is mandatory for both the driver and the passenger.
  16. The wearing of the safety belt is mandatory.
  17. People with long hair have to tie their hair into a knot or stuff it under their clothing.
  18. Children from the age of 12 are allowed to participate in the ride as a passenger, under the condition that the driver is a parent or legal guardian or if the passenger can verify that he has the permission of the former or latter. The driver will be responsible for the underage passenger at all times.
  19. When driving across unpaved roads or paths other recreational user using these roads ( hikers, mountain bikers, horse riders, … ) may only be crossed or overtaken at a very low speed. When crossing a horse rider the buggies must be parked at the side of the ride and the engine must be turned off if necessary.
  20. It is forbidden to use the horn unnecessarily.
  21. At a sign of danger the supervisor will turn on the emergency lighting of his vehicle : immediately decrease speed and follow the instructions of the supervisor.
  22. Driving a buggy is forbidden for people with a heart condition , pacemaker carriers, people suffering from epilepsy and pregnant women.
